An information counter is to be set up today and tomorrow (Nov. 19 – 20) to assist newly elected MPs of the 10th Parliament, Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadheera says.
The counter will be operational from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Parliament complex, providing essential documents, parliamentary identity cards, and fingerprint recording for electronic voting.
The MPs can either visit the counter in person or register online, with fingerprinting also required.
Noring that over two-thirds of the newly elected MPs are first-timers, the Secretary General of Parliament has also said that a three-day workshop will be held from Nov. 25 – 27 to train them on parliamentary procedures.
