Another prison inmate who was being treated at the ICU of the Matara hospital, following the incident at the Matara prison, has succumbed to his injuries.
This brings up the death toll to two.
12 inmates were hospitalised after a tree branch collapsed onto a section of the Matara Prison on Wednesday (Jan. 01) night.
