Sri Lankan scientist Prof. Neelika Malavige has been appointed President-Elect of the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID).
She will assume the presidency in 2027 for a two-year term.
A distinguished immunologist at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Prof. Malavige has made significant contributions to COVID-19 research and dengue pathogenesis.
