on

The next school term of government and government-approved private schools will begin on February 05, the Education Ministry announced.

Earlier, the ministry had decided to start the new school term on February 02, 2024.

The original date was postponed after the Department of Education was compelled to hold fresh examinations for the Agriculture subject.

The Department of Examinations yesterday (Jan. 16) decided to hold both Paper I and Paper II of the Agriculture subject after it was revealed that certain content of the papers have been compromised.

Accordingly, Paper II will be held on Feb. 01 from 08.30am – 11.40am while Paper I will be held later in the same day from 01.00pm – 03.00pm.
