Acting Deputy Director General of the National Hospital in Colombo – S.P.A.L. Ranaweera has stated that alternative measures have been taken to ensure that radiology services are continued despite both radiology machines at the Accident Ward, are currently out of order.
He has said that they have informed the Ministry of Health and the Division of Biomedical Engineering Services have been briefed about the status of these radiology machines and that measures are underway to repair them.
Meanwhile, alternative measures have been taken to use other radiology machines at the hospital to continue radiology services at the accident ward, he has added.
