Trade unions allied with five professions supplementary to health service have decided to launch a 24-hour token strike from from 8.00 am tomorrow (August 24).
Government Radiological Technologists Association’s Chairman Chanaka Dharmawickrama said trade unions of radio technologists, medical laboratory scientists. pharmacists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists would strike tomorrow (23) to reach seven demands.
Mr. Dharmawickrama said that disruptions would occur concerning medical scans including X-rays, CT scans and MRI scans and other laboratory services along with dispersion of medicines would be disrupted due to the token strike.
