The Parliament session has been adjourned for 10 minutes following a tense situation that arose a short while ago.
The tense situation had arisen due to a question raised about the percentages paid to the Employees’ Provident Fund in 2022.
MP Gevindu Kumaratunga raised the issue and the ruling party once again requested time to provide an answer leading to the heated situation.
