The Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara says that they are expecting to release the results of the 2022 G.C.E Advanced Level examination in August.

Joining a press briefing held today (May 30), Mr. Jayasundara stated that provisions required to release the relevant results without delays are already underway.

The 12th Sri Lanka- China Diplomatic Consultations were successfully held today (30), the Foreign Ministry says.

The event, held at the Foreign Ministry, was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka – Aruni Wijewardane and the Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs – Sun Weidong.

Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – Kenji Okamura will arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (May 31) for a two-day official visit, State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe says.

His visit comes days after a visit by the IMF staff team.

During his visit, Mr. Okamura is expected to hold several rounds of discussions on the recent changes in Sri Lanka’s economic stability and the opportunities to empower the economy in the future. Discussions will also focus on the methods to minimize the obstacles and delays hampering the economic recovery, reports say.
